The Mystery

The Mystery

Van Morrison

Let go into the mystery

Let yourself go

You've got to open up your heart

That's all I know

Trust what I say and do what you're told Baby,

and all your dirt will turn into gold

Let go into the mystery

Let yourself go

And when you open up your heart

You get everything you need

Baby there's a way and a mystic road

You've got to have some faith

To carry on

You've got to open up your heart

To the sun

You know he's looking out for you'

Cause he's the one

Let go into the mystery

Let yourself go

There is no other place to be

Baby this I know

You've got to dance and sing

And be alive in the mystery

And be joyous and give thanks

And let yourself go

I saw the light of ancient Greece

Towards the OneI saw us standing within reach

Of the sunLet go into the mystery of life

Let go into the mystery

Let go into the mystery

Let yourself go

You've got to open up your arms

To the sun

You know you've got so many charms

It's just begun

Trust what I say and do

What you're told

And surely all your dirt will turn into gold

Take This Heart and Make it Break...

"Tough, you think you've got the stuff You're telling me and anyone You're hard enough

You don't have to put up a fight You don't have to always be right Let me take some of the punches For you tonight Listen to me now I need to let you know You don't have to go it alone

We Fight all the time You and I...that's alright We're the same soul I don't need...I don't need to hear you say That if we weren't so alike You'd like me a whole lot better Listen to me now, I need to let you know Sometimes you can't make it on your own... And its you when I look in the mirror And it's you that makes it hard to let go Sometimes you can't make it on your own Sometimes you can't make it the best you can do is fake it Sometimes you can't make it on your own... bono u2 photo harris park co 9200 feet early march 2006 cebelina mule

Take these hands don't make a fist.
Take this mouth so quick to criticize.
Take this mouth
Give it a Kiss"

We all need to smell the roses

"Blues Is My Business and Business is Good"

Posted by Picasa Blues is His Business but Larry McCray only gives pleasure. Maybe you can see me tucked into the corner behind the railing; while Ize of the World takes another photo! This pic though was taken by Scott Minier of MI Mule fame! NYE in Chicago at The Kingston Mines...Someone once asked me, as he felt the tears come to his eyes; the rush of everything that was overwhelming him choking and crushing the words out of his mouth..."what are we gonna do, c?" Of course he had an idea in his mind of how he could manage to survive his pain, it being a rhetorical question and all...But his beauty and strength even in the midst of such momentary sadness, there in the middle of a venue, as the tunes started to roll off the stage, struck my heart. My soul blossomed. And then I had this idea, sweet inspiration from my good friend. I began to realize that Larry McCray, Warren Haynes, Allen Woody, Jerry Garcia, Kris Kristofferson, Vladimir Horowitz, Dave Brubeck, Miles and Coltrane as well as MC5, and so many other people such as mentors, teachers, lovers, enemies, strangers and friends have taught me...hold onto the music, and you will always be "all right." I realized that music, MUSIC, will always get you through whatever it is you must do! Mr. McCray and his Excellent Band have more than once taught me that we can all survive a "Delta Hurricane" just as long as we keep our "Soulshine" bright! Sometimes music is in a form that can't be heard...perhaps it is a formula E=MC2, maybe it's in the fractal geometry of Pollock, or the smile on the Mona Lisa, music manifests in more than just the language of sound. Open your heart and you'll be all right. Use your imagination and you will "see" the light.
